Statement of condolences to families of victims of Colombian military air crash

Wednesday, 25 March 2026:- The South African Communist Party (SACP) conveys its message of heartfelt condolences to the families of the 69 people who died after a military plane crashed in the south of the country on Monday. We also send our condolences to the Colombian government and the nation for the loss and wish speedy recovery for the 57 who have been injured.

We also appreciate the efforts of all those who were involved in the search and rescue efforts since the crash and support investigative efforts being undertaken by the Colombian authorities to determine the cause of the crash.
