Press Alert, 27 May 2024: The revolutionary Alliance, consisting of South African Communist Party (SACP), Congress of South African Trade Union (COSATU), African National Congress (ANC) and South African National Civic Organisation have arranged a memorial service to reminisce and celebrate the life and times of Comrade Lindiwe Tshongwe, who unexpectedly passed away on 21 May 2024 after her hospitalisation.

Comrade Lindiwe was SACP Deputy Provincial Chairperson in Free State, ANCWL Convenor in Fezile Dabi region and ANC MMC for Finance in Metsimaholo Local Municipality at the time of her passing.

Everyone is invited to attend the memorial and funeral services of this distinguished revolutionary, gender activist and a Communist to the end! Reflections on Comrade Lindiwe’s life and times of dedicated service to the people, the revolution and the movement will include addresses by Alliance leaders from various levels.

The memorial service and funeral arrangements are organised as follows:

MEMORIAL SERVICE

FUNERAL SERVICE

Date: 01 June 2024, Saturday;
Time: 07H30
Venue : Roman Catholic Church, Zamdela
