SACP concludes a successful province wide voter mobilisation campaign

10 March 2018

The South African Communist Party Gauteng Province, through its Red Brigade, has been working on the ground over the weekend, mobilising the working class and the poor to register to vote in the 2019 national and provincial elections. The Independent Electoral Commission had declared Saturday and Sunday, Voter Registration Weekend.

We are convinced that our voter mobilisation campaign has made an immense contribution to the practical reconfiguration of the Alliance of the ANC, SACP, COSATU and SANCO as the only political centre of power. This is consistent and in line with the resolutions and outcomes of the SACP’s 14th National Congress that was held in our province in 2017.

We are generally pleased with the activism, passion and discipline of our Red Brigade as the campaigning organ of the party in the Province.

We are even more encouraged and determined to reactivate and further roll-out our Qina Msebenzi/Tiya Mosomi election programme to visit factories and industrial sites to engage workers and the proletariat to actively participate in the 2019 elections.

We call on the working class and the poor of our Province to ensure that Gauteng remains under the hegemonic revolutionary control of the renewed and reconfigured Alliance.

We believe that our slogan of “Give no space to the enemy” is even more relevant than ever.
