The SACP is saddened by the news of the passing away of the SACP Deputy Provincial Chairperson in Mpumalanga, Cde Cde Solomon Khephi "SK" Mnguni. Cde Solomon Khephi "SK" Mnguni passed on yesterday, 2nd February 2013 after illness.
The Party has lost a committed and an all rounded cadre of the Mass Democratic Movement in Mpumalanga who served as a shop-steward in COSATU union and led both in the ANC and SACP.
At the time of his departure he was one of the longest serving PEC members and holding the Deputy Provincial Chairperson position. He served as the first Mayor in the new dispensation in the former Mkobola Transitional Local Council. Currently he occupied the MMC for Infrastructure Development position at Thembisile Hani Local Municipality.
