The SACP has learned of the untimely passing away of the Second Deputy President of POPCRU, Cde Pretty Singonzo-Shuping.
We are deeply saddened by her untimely passing away.
Cde Pretty was a committed fighter of human rights; a working class activist determined in her various roles in the trade union movement to radically alter the conditions that the majority of our people find themselves in. She was a committed gender activist and hated patriarchy and its various manifestations in society.
The SACP extends its deep condolences to friends and family, the trade union movement and colleagues at POPCRU.
