SACP Central Committee to hold its meeting over the weekend

The SACP will hold its 3rd Plenary Session of the 12th Congress Central Committee meeting in Johannesburg over the coming weekend.

The meeting will discuss the current political conjuncture within the context of the Polokwane conference, what are the challenges and key tasks for Communists. The meeting will further discuss the JSCI report into the Special Browse Mole Report, the international balance of forces including the electoral victory of AKEL in Cyprus, and the forthcoming elections in Zimbabwe.

The Central Committee will also finalise the implementation plan for the 2008 annual programme of action including finalizing activities for the commemorative events of the 30th Anniversary of the death of Moses Kotane and the 15th Anniversary of the cowardly assassination of the late General Secretary of the SACP, Cde Chris Hani.
