SACP celebrates it 86 years of Communist Activism

This year marks the 86 years of existence of the SACP. The SACP was formed on the 29th July 1921 in Cape Town. For 86 years South African communists have been in the forefront of the struggles of the workers and poor of our country.

The SACP of today is built on a tradition of 86 unbroken fighting years!

As we celebrate our anniversary, we are a South African Communist Party with more than 51,000 members. It is the largest membership ever in our history. We have more than doubled in size since 2002

To mark the celebrations of the 86 years of communist activism, a national rally will be held as follows:
