9 October 2003
The Young Communist League, in KwaZulu Natal, is to host a number of activities to honour and remember heroes of the Communist Revolution. These, heroes, include those from the South African and international revolutions.
During the month of October we shall focus on two heroes of the Communist Revolution. These are Che Guevara and Jabulani Nobleman "Mzala" Nxumalo. Their role and youth exuberance they infused in the struggles of Cuba and South Africa, respectively, motivates the youth of the world to play a decisive role in the fight against imperialism and struggle for Socialism, as the only system to rid our societies of poverty, unemployment, and gender inequality.
We also wish, through these events, to highlight our disgust at the imperialist agenda of the Unite States government against the peoples of Cuba, and the working class and the poor of the world. We also pledge our support to the working class and the poor of the world who are suffering from US unilateral military aggression, the peoples of Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and elsewhere.
We hold aloft the banner of the liberation of humanity from capitalist slavery, the banner of the Communist Internationalism. We call on all progressive youth movements to rally the young generation of the working people of the whole world around this banner.
We therefore wish to invite the general public and all young people, in particular, to join us as we honour and remember these great revolutionaries in the events to be held as follows;
