This weekend, the South African Communist Party (SACP) will mark its 82nd anniversary through a focus on vulnerable workers.
The Free State Province will hold a farm-workers' rally at the Welkom City Hall on Sunday, 27 July starting at 10h00. The SACP General Secretary, Blade Nzimande, will attend this event together with Lindelwa Dunjwa and Godfrey Oliphant who will represent the SACP Central Committee.
The Limpopo Province will hold a similar rally at the Mafefe Royal Kraal, Mafefe village, Burgersfort (Limpopo Province) at 10h00. The rally will focus on the 82nd anniversary of the SACP.
The Limpopo Province will also mark the Cuban National Day (26 July) by holding a rally and reception at the Knoebel Hospital, Moledji (15 kilometres north of Polokwane - Pietersburg). The reception will be attended by the Deputy Health Minister of Cuba and the Cuban Ambassador to South Africa.
Joyce Mashamba, George Mashamba and Thaba Mufamadi will represent the SACP Central Committee in these Limpopo events.
