The 11th Congress of the South African Communist Party (SACP), being held from 24 to 28 July, will adopt the Party's new political programme. The draft programme follows intensive and widespread internal discussion in all 337 branches, 40 districts and 9 provinces of the SACP and the SACP Central Committee over the last 6 months.
Through this programme the SACP seeks to deepen and consolidate transformation in our country and lay the basis for, build elements of, and momentum for socialism. The draft political programme is available on the SACP website http://www.sacp.org.za/docs/#Congress
Outlined below are the 6 chapters of the draft programme:
1. Chapter 1 - The Current Phase of the National Democratic Revolution
2. Chapter 2 - Towards a Progressive Growth and Development Strategy
3. The South African Revolution in its International Context
4. The SACP and the Ideological and Political Terrain in the National
Liberation Movement
5. Taking Forward the Struggle for Socialism
