Blade Nzimande to Speak at Teacher's Rally in Durban

The General Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP), Comrade Blade Nzimande, will address a mass teacher's rally in Durban tomorrow as detailed below.

Tomorrow's rally is part of the Teacher's Forums organised by the South African Democratic Teacher's Union (SADTU).

Some of the issues to be covered by Comrade Nzimande include the transformation of education and related problems and SACP perspectives on proposed mergers of higher education institutions.

In the light of the recently started NEDLAC negotiations on the financial sector the SACP will also report to the teachers about the SACP-led campaign to make banks serve the people. In particular, the SACP will mobilise teachers in KwaZulu Natal to support the SACP Week of Action to Make Banks Serve the People which starts on 16 to 24 March.
