Following last week's open letter from the South African Communist Party this is to announce that more than 40 South African organisations including communities of faith, trade unions, different political parties, women's organisations, solidarity organisations, youth and student organisations will take part in a Public Meeting to end this unjust war as detailed below.
DATE : Thursday, 15 November 2001
TIME : 14H00 - 16H30
VENUE : 10th Floor Boardroom, COSATU House,1 Leyds Street, corner Biccard, Braamfontein, Johannesburg
This meeting will receive reports on what the different organisations are doing and will also discuss and adopt principles and a proposal for a National Programme of Action by South Africans for Global Peace.
The meeting will be concluded with a press conference to be held from 16h30 to 17h00 at the same venue.
