Cuban and SA Communist Parties to Sign Co-operation Agreement

In the context of the 80th Anniversary of the South African Communist Party (SACP) and the visit to South Africa by Comrade Pedro Saenz, a member of the Politburo and the Havana Provincial Secretary of the Partido Comunista de Cuba (Communist Party of Cuba CPC), the KwaZulu Natal and Havana provinces of both parties will sign a Co-operation Agreement as detailed below.

This Co-operation Agreement will cover the following areas:

• Deepening struggles and solidarity between our peoples, in particular against the economic blockade imposed by the United States of America on Cuba
• Deepening struggles against capitalist globalisation
• Building international working class solidarity
• Exchange of delegations at regular intervals
• Exchange of experiences and co-operation on party building and cadreship development

The media is invited to this signing ceremony. Comrade Saenz is also available for interviews on the situation in Cuba and on his perspectives on South Africa.
