The General Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP), Blade Nzimande, will lead a Worker's and People's Assembly as part of the continuing 80th SACP Anniversary Celebrations this weekend. This Assembly will take place as detailed below.

TIME : 09h00 - 12h00
VENUE: Rabasotho Hall, Gqagqa Section, Tembisa North East Rand, Gauteng
This Assembly will be a public forum for thousands of poor and working people in Tembisa and the Greater North East Rand to talk about the SACP, how the SACP can help in winning a better life for all, what they want the SACP to do and how they themselves can build the SACP and contribute to the struggle for socialism. As a political party of poor and working people, the Communist Party is not afraid of learning from the people about their experiences and struggles and what they want their party to do, said Blade Nzimande.
The Tembisa visit by Blade Nzimande will also address local issues and problems as it will include the following:
Eighteen (18) other Assemblies will take place this weekend as detailed below. These Assemblies will culminate in a national rally to be held in Durban on the 29 July which is the exact date of the first day of the founding Congress of the SACP 80 years ago.
