Mbeki`s claims against SACP general secretary, Blade Nzimande, have been labeled as "factional rantings".
The SA Communist Party (SACP) has once again criticised former president Thabo Mbeki, saying he was a bitter person.
The party said Mbeki`s claim against SACP general secretary Blade Nzimande was invalid as "factional rantings".
The former president claimed Nzimande had celebrated Judge Chris Nicholson`s ruling that the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) prosecute the then ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma.
Mbeki further said Nicholson had given a judicial stamp of approval to an allegation that he and others in government were part of a "political conspiracy", which had interfered with the NPA falsely to charge Zuma, an allegation the ANC national executive committee had rejected.
But SACP spokesperson Alex Mashilo said: "The SACP notes former president Thabo Mbeki`s continued factional obsession involving provocative attacks on the party`s general secretary, comrade Blade Nzimande, and other ANC leaders.
The court`s decision was taken on the basis of evidence.
"Further evidence emerged, including telephone records indicating the existence of manipulation in the process followed to charge president Zuma."
Mashilo challenged Mbeki to refute allegations that he offered Zuma R20-million to resign following an announcement by former NPA head Bulelani Ngcuka that there was a prima facie case against Zuma.
