SACP General Secretary Blade Nzimande says the tripartite alliance needs to be more united. (SABC)
South African Communist Party (SACP) General Secretary Blade Nzimande says the party has no intention of breaking away from the African National Congress (ANC) and the tripartite alliance.
He says their stand against corruption and factionalism is shared by many in the ANC.
Nzimande has lashed out at the media - claiming they are advocating the demise of the alliance.
“The central committee noted and expressed its strong disapproval but determination to actually deal with factionalism activity that threatens to put very stresses on our alliance,” says Nzimande.
Nzimande says the tripartite alliance needs to be more united.
“But often some of it’s about looting and some of it is about people who are positioning themselves in the organisation in a manner that has got very little to do with the priorities.”
