Limpho Hani, widow of late leader of the SACP party, Chris Hani, shared her frustrations on malicious media reports about alleged children of Chris Hani, one of them named Vanessa Hani.
Hani addressed the attendants of her late husband’s commemoration ceremony on Friday, on the false claims of two women who posed as Chris Hani’s daughters. In her address she said journalists are “lazy” and called them out on their lack of credibility with regards to properly investigating the allegations. Hani explains how she spoke to her lawyer abut the matter, who then appointed a P.I. (private investigator) to find the truth.
Hani continues to reveal the investigator’s findings, where she tells us Vanessa’s real name is Phindile Madonsela, a Mozambican national who fraudulently attained South African identification in Kwazulu Natal. She adds how she had approached Home Affairs and was told that the daughters had no documents proving their paternity to Hani. The widow apologizes to the president and esteemed guests for discussing her personal issues at the event, and justifies it by saying it is the best platform for her to correct the reports.
