Poorly constructed Reconstruction and Development (RDP) houses in Thembalethu in George in the Southern Cape will soon be repaired by the company that built them.
The construction company, Power Construction, committed itself to repairing the structural damage of the houses at an imbizo in Thembalethu over the weekend.
The residents also used the imbizo to raise complaints of racism and party political favouritism against the municipality. A multi-sectoral task team has been set up to investigate the claims.
