Public records of the department of trade and industry indicate that Siviwe Mapisa, the brother-in-law of Charles Nqakula, the safety and security minister, is indeed a director of Vulisango Holdings. The company is apparently linked to Brett Kebble, the slain mining magnate.
Mapisa is also the brother of Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, the home affairs minister.
Nqakula linked to Kebble: O'Sullivan
Paul O' Sullivan, the former airport security chief, wants Nqakula to explain his family's relationship with Kebble. Nqakula earlier announced that investigations had failed to yield evidence of criminality against Jackie Selebi, the police commissioner, after the arrest of Glenn Agliotti, his friend, in connection with the Kebble murder.
Meanwhile, questions are being asked over the credibility of O'Sullivan. Intelligence sources say he is a British Intelligence agent, planted in South Africa to provide intelligence on OR Tambo International Airport. He has dismissed the allegations as part of a smear campaign.
